The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the University of Diyala, held a workshop on the subject of analyzing the scientific research indicators of Iraqi universities and discussing ways to raise them in the British (QS) Ranking for the year 2024.
The workshop aimed to identify the strengths of the QS classification, which is one of the important classifications that the Ministry of Higher Education is working on, to develop its teaching cadres in order to overcome and address weaknesses, especially with regard to the axis of scientific research because of the weight it represents within this classification.
The workshop, in which the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, lectured, shed light on the mechanism of entering the university’s colleges to the Ranking according to the indicators offered to enter the university and urged the deanships of the colleges to form committees and research teams that can provide the requirements.
At the end of the workshop, which was held at the College of Science at Diyala University, the President of Diyala University, Prof. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, honored the contributors to the success of the workshop.
