The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, held a virtual meeting via the Zoom program with the President and members of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities. The meeting was also attended by Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and several department directors at the University’s headquarters.
The meeting agenda included reviewing the outcomes of the fifty-sixth session held in the capital, Baghdad, and discussing the mechanism for the inclusion of scientific research in the digital platform. Additionally, they reviewed the international ranking of Arab universities, encouraged productive interaction with reputable educational environments in Arab countries, and discussed enhancing scientific exchange.
In turn, Prof.Dr. Bahaa, emphasized that openness is a characteristic of universities, which Arab universities must prioritize in their operations. He underscored the importance of such meetings for monitoring the outcomes of decisions made by the Association of Arab Universities and facilitating their implementation.
It’s worth noting that the Association of Arab Universities held its fifty-sixth session last March at the University of Baghdad, with the attendance of academic figures from Arab universities. During the session, it was announced that Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, was appointed as the president of the current session.
