President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, welcomed a delegation from Ferdowsi University of Iran to discuss ways for enhancing scientific and cultural exchange. The meeting was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, and the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Prof.Dr. Enas Khalifa Al-Sharqi.
The delegation included the representative of the President of Ferdowsi University, Prof.Dr. Amir Rashid Amiri, along with several faculty members from Ferdowsi University. Discussions focused on activating the visiting professor program between the two universities, student exchange, as well as the “Study in Iraq” initiative. Additionally, they explored opportunities for joint supervision and collaboration between scientific journals.
The visit also included a tour of the campus of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, where scientific lectures on the cultural history of both countries were delivered. The University administration expressed gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality. It is worth noting that the Ferdowsi University is located in the province of Mashhad, Iran. It is one of Iran’s government universities under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, comprising 13 faculties and 8 research institutes.
