The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled (CRISPR Technology and Molecular Cancer Biology) in the presence of a number of teachers and students.

The symposium aimed to introduce CRISPR technology and how to use it in treatment and genetic modification to treat many diseases, including cancer, and to refer to the experiments conducted by researchers on this subject, which were published in reputable scientific journals to treat breast cancer, as well as the importance of gene therapy in the early stages of this cancer.

The symposium recommended the need to keep pace with the global development in the field of using modern molecular techniques in the field of cancer diagnosis, as well as emphasizing the need to spread health education and awareness to increase knowledge of the need for early detection of breast cancer in women, especially through modern molecular methods.
