The Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Ministries of Transportation and Planning, organized a dialogue symposium on the path of development at the College of Media, with the participation of a group of researchers from the University of Baghdad and the Ministries of Planning and Transportation. The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs.
The discussion shed light on the role of the development project in enhancing Iraq’s position in the region on the map of trade and economy and its contribution to achieving sustainable development goals. Additionally, it addressed the prominent challenges facing the development project. The discussion also covered various aspects of development in Iraq, including the challenges facing the development process, available opportunities for achieving development, and the necessary strategies and plans to achieve it.
The activity was attended by a select group of specialists and researchers from various fields, including engineering, political science, management, and economics. They delivered presentations discussing various aspects of the topic. The symposium received significant interest from both students and faculty members, with a large number of attendees from both groups. It’s worth noting that the development road project is considered one of Iraq’s ambitious strategic projects and one of the most important transportation routes in the country.
