The two female teachers at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Suad Hadi Al-Taie, won first place in the field of humanities, and Prof. Dr. Lama Naji Muhammad ranked third in the field of pure sciences, in the list of winners of the (University Book Encyclopedia) award for distinguished scientific research that provides modern visions for the development of universities and Iraqi government institutions.

A member of the evaluation committee of the university book encyclopedia competition, Prof. Dr. Manal Shaker Al-Kubaisi, said that out of (101) competitors from all Iraqi public and private universities, the two female teachers at the University of Baghdad won first place in the seats (13) allocated to the distinguished in the encyclopedia book, and explained that the encyclopedia book includes more than (200) pages that include scientific research on the subject of sustainable development from the universities to which the winners belong, their success stories and excellence, and their vision in developing Universities commensurate with the position that Iraq deserves.

It is noteworthy that the foundations relied on by the Research Evaluation Committee in selecting the winners included seven axes in scientific and professional activities, annual performance evaluation, community service, patents, medals, letters of thanks and appreciation and volunteer work.
