The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Department, conducted a workshop entitled “Engineering and Software Accreditation for the Mechatronics Engineering Department: Requirements and Readiness.” The workshop was attended by the department chair and several faculty members.
The activity aimed to examine the specific requirements for the software accreditation of the Mechatronics Engineering Department. At its conclusion, the attendees recommended the establishment of a committee within the department’s academic body to execute the accreditation requirements.
The event, presented by Dr. Ahmed Rahman Jasim, included efforts by the Mechatronics Engineering Department to obtain program accreditation in accordance with the directives of the University of Baghdad and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. As program accreditation certification signifies the elevation of the educational institution to the highest academic ranks, it was a key focus of the workshop.
