The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, laid the foundation stone for the Akhwa City residential project located in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport. In his speech during the official ceremony, which took place in the presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, a number of advisors, general directors, representatives of university administrations, and the National Investment Commission, the Minister of Education stressed that this project represents a new map of sincere work, pointing out that the time for registration in it is close and that the paths of differentiation and competition have been formulated by the fair decisions and controls written by the concerned experts, technicians and jurists.
He reiterated in his speech that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is continuing to implement its programs indicated in the government program and the ministerial curriculum of the esteemed Iraqi government and is concerned with overcoming all difficulties that may hinder the implementation of public service projects, and is committed to protecting the entitlements of teachers and employees and providing the requirements and supplies that govern and regulate the work of vital projects related to the aspirations of citizens and their future, including this vital project that concerns a wide segment of workers in the university institution.
The Minister of Education assured teachers and employees at the University of Baghdad and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Center that their hopes will be realized by obtaining decent housing and that the Akhwa City housing project, which is currently being undertaken by a consortium of several companies to complete it according to a well-thought-out schedule, will not be hindered by delays again. The official ceremony included speeches by representatives of the consortium of implementing companies and a special presentation on the technical vision that will result in a distinguished model for residential projects equipped with the best-required services.
