Dean of the College of Education for Women, Assist.Prof.Athmar Shaker Al-Shatari, along with several department heads and faculty members of the college, participated in the scientific conference organized by the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, under the title “Salah Al-Khurasan’s Decades of Struggle, Writing, and Work” at the College of Mass Communication.

Additionally, Dr. Abdullah Hameed Al-Atabi, the head of the History Department at the College of Education for Women, participated with his research paper entitled “The Document in the Writings of Salah Al-Khurasan.” The aim of the research was to emphasize that objective historical documents are the primary source for the historian. Al-Kharsan is a witness to the transfer of truth in all its details. He employed documents to record events as they occurred. In Al-Khurasan’s writings, there is a close connection to documenting history, which was previously prohibited from being written about in previous eras.

The ceremony was interspersed with valuable speeches from academic, political, and governmental figures, highlighting the role of the Islamic thinker Salah Al-Khurasan, may God have mercy on him, in conveying the events and realities experienced by Iraqi society during the dark historical period, as well as his academic role in the political and scientific outputs he wrote for students of knowledge. On the sidelines of the ceremony, an academic hall at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, was named in his honor, commemorating his jihadist and academic role in conveying historical events with objectivity.
