The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad hosted His Excellency the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, at the College of Media hall at the university, as part of his official visit to Iraq. The event was attended by the Chief of the Presidential Diwan, Kamel Al-Dulaimi, several presidential advisors, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf.
His Excellency, delivered a lecture in which he discussed Armenia’s experience, history, culture, its democratic journey, and the economic challenges it faces. He emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among the different communities within the country. Furthermore, he underscored the significance of enhancing relations between Iraq and Armenia across various sectors, particularly in scientific and cultural domains.
President Khachaturyan expressed his delight at visiting the University of Baghdad, noting its esteemed history and academic standing. He reiterated Armenia’s commitment to strengthening relations that would bolster cooperation between Iraq and Armenia across various fields.
