The Dean of the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad hosted a ceremony to honor the top three students for the academic year 2022-2023. The event was graced by the presence of the President of University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and several distinguished deans, supervised of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof.Dr. Ali Adnan Mishoosh.
In his speech on this occasion, the President of University expressed his delight at the celebration, which fosters a culture of competition and excellence among students. He commended the College’s administration for their efforts in representing it in a manner worthy of the University of Baghdad’s reputation. He underscored the significance of the College of Languages, which has produced numerous individuals who have played pivotal roles in shaping Iraqi society and other communities across the Arab region. Furthermore, he emphasized its status as a rare specialization within the humanities, serving as a catalyst for cultural integration and a bridge connecting our civilization with others globally. The President also called for the creation of opportunities for the university’s staff and students to drive positive change and development.
On the sidelines of the celebration, an classroom equipped with the latest technology, including screens, sound systems, and modern seating arrangements, was inaugurated. The event also featured the opening of an exhibition showcasing the artistic drawings of the students.
The number of honored students totaled 100, comprising both male and female students who excelled across various departments of the college. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment as an educational and academic institution to serve and advance the community.
