Prof. Dr. Nahi Abd Ibrahim Al-Zuhairi, a teacher in the Department of Persian Language at the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad, issued a book translated from Persian into Arabic entitled “The Biography of the Tahirin” by the author Muhammad Reda Naji. The 145-page book deals with an explanation of the biography of the first Iranian dynasty that ruled Khorasan after Islam, derived from the book “Tarikh al-Tabari” by Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Jarir al-Tabari in the second half of the third century AH and the book “Baghdad” by Abu al-Fadl Ahmed bin Abi Tahir Tayfur in the third century AH.
The book aimed to shed light on the painful events that occurred during the war that took place between Al-Amin and Al-Mamun, starting with the battle of Al-Rai and ending with the siege of Baghdad and the killing of Al-Amin and the stability of the matter for his brother Al-Mamoun.
