Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, Rector of the University of Baghdad, honored the student Rahma Abdul Mohsen, a third-stage student at the College of Science at the University of Baghdad, the winner of the Iraqi Universities Debate Mondial, which was held recently. The honoring came during a ceremony held at the Rectory of the University in the presence of the Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College of Science, and college members.

The Rector of the University expressed his pride for the student’s achievement, stressing that this achievement is a source of pride for the University of Baghdad and Iraq as a whole. The Rector of the University praised the student’s role in representing the university honorably in this Mondial and called on her to continue to exert effort and perseverance to achieve more achievements, and the President of the University stressed the importance of supporting creative student energies and providing the appropriate environment for them to develop their skills and abilities.

For her part, the student expressed her thanks and appreciation to the President of the University for honoring her, stressing that this honor is an incentive for her to continue working and excelling and that she will strive to represent Iraq in the best way in international debates, and achieve more achievements for her country.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Universities Debate Mondial is a competition held with the participation of universities from all over Iraq and aims to develop the skills of debate and critical thinking among students, and the University of Baghdad is one of the leading universities in the field of debates, where its students have achieved many achievements in local and international competitions.
