The Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, met the Director of Ashur Company, to discuss ways to address the lagging projects at the university, in the presence of the Assistant Rector for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Prime Minister.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to construction and maintenance projects at the University of Baghdad, the reasons for the delay in the implementation of some projects there, and the challenges facing the company in implementing projects and developing appropriate solutions to accelerate the pace of work in these projects.

The Rector of the University stressed the importance of completing the lagging projects as soon as possible, pointing out that these projects are necessary to improve the infrastructure of the university and provide a better learning environment for students.

It was also agreed to form a joint committee between the university and the company to follow up on the progress of work in the projects, to hold periodic meetings between the two parties to discuss challenges and reach appropriate solutions, and to provide the necessary support by the university to the company to facilitate the implementation of these projects. This step comes within the framework of the University of Baghdad’s keenness to accelerate the pace of work in lagging projects and improve the services provided to students to serve the educational process and our country, Iraq.
