The Center for Women’s Studies at the University of Baghdad held the central symposium tagged (Addictive Behaviors in Women and the Dangers of Mental Illness – Introducing and Treatments), in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem, and the Assistant Rector of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the phenomenon of drug addiction among women, introducing drugs, their types, and the problems they cause to users, as well as the reasons for exposure to the risk of addiction and the role of universities in combating drugs. The workshop recommended the establishment of seminars, conferences, and workshops on the early detection of behavioral, mental, and psychological disorders of the abuse of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.
