The Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, received in his office at the Rectory of the university, a delegation from the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad, represented by the Embassy Counselor and the Assistant of the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Enas Khalifa Al-Sharqi, Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations at the university.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the educational sector between the two countries, and the guest introduced to the Rector of the University of Baghdad the most important colleges and universities and their number in Turkey, welcoming the extension of bridges of cooperation as well as facilitating the study of missions and students in Turkish universities.

Ansaf stressed that the development of education is one of the most important priorities on our agenda and that Iraq has prestigious universities that can provide expertise to the Turkish side. The Turkish Assistant Ambassador stressed that the Turkish Ministry of Education aspires to increase the number of recognized Turkish universities in Iraq, stressing their readiness to cooperate with Iraqi universities, especially the University of Baghdad.

At the end of the meeting, the guests expressed their thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and reception, wishing for continued scientific and cultural communication to serve the educational process between the two friendly countries.
