Within the framework of joint scientific cooperation between the Department of Archeology at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, and the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage / Department of Archaeological Studies, Research and Training / Publishing Department, a book entitled (The Era of Nineveh, Fifth Layer: An Archaeological Study) was recently issued by Prof. Dr. Qusai Sobhi Abbas.

The book shed light on the culture of Nineveh, which is one of the prehistoric cultures witnessed by the civilization of Mesopotamia and northeastern Syria, and its existence was mainly associated with the pottery of the Nineveh class discovered by the British prospector Max Malwan during his excavation in Tell Quinjaq in (1929-1932 AD).

For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Majeed Hussein, President of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, called on professors of antiquities to invest in this joint scientific cooperation, to publish their scientific products, whether book publications or research, in the refereed scientific journal Sumer from the University of Baghdad.
