The College of Education for women, Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, organized the Annual Childhood Festival, which hosted several orphanages, including (Zuhour Al-Alyaa Orphanage, Baraem Al-Salikh Orphanage, and Zuhour Al-Adhamiya Orphanage). The event took place at Al-Mustafa Hall and the college gardens. The celebration was attended by the college dean, Dr. Athmar Al-Shatiri, along with her assistants, heads of scientific departments, the director of community policing, Brigadier Nibras Mohammed, orphanage officials, and a number of professors, staff, and students of the college.

 The celebration featured a presentation of the talents of orphaned children, including recitations of poetry, both patriotic and thematic, expressing love for Iraq. The event was characterized by exuberant human emotions and created beautiful interactive atmospheres. The number of orphaned Iraqi children in the event was approximately 100, ranging in age from 5 to 15 years old. The dean presented gifts, school bags, and various toys to them, along with financial assistance and providing necessary supplies for the orphanages. This was aimed at motivating and uplifting their spirits. It’s worth noting that the material gifts were contributed by the teaching staff of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences.
