In accordance with the directives of the National Department for Iraqi Women in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Women’s Empowerment Division at the university, in collaboration with the Women’s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad, organized a solidarity stand in support of Palestinian women in resilient Gaza. This initiative aims to express solidarity with Palestinian women and their struggle against the Zionist occupier. It reinforces the university’s commitment to supporting the nation’s issues in general and the Palestinian cause in particular. It also highlights the challenges faced by the Palestinian people under the continuous Zionist bombardment of innocent civilians.
The solidarity stand witnessed the participation of Dr. Azraa Ismaeel, the Manager of the Women’s Studies Center, along with Lecturer. Sinaa Aboud Mustafa, the official in charge of the Women’s Empowerment Division. Additionally, several faculty members and students from the College of Fine Arts actively took part in the event.
This event aimed to highlight the importance of women’s roles and their involvement in supporting the women of Gaza due to the violations committed by the Zionist occupation. Participants in this event raised banners condemning the genocide against Palestinian women, children, and elders, expressing their solidarity with the victims of such atrocities
