On Sunday morning, January 7, 2024, a ceremony was held to hand over and receive the Rectory of the University of Baghdad, as Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf received his position as Rector of the University, succeeding Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, in the presence of the Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Ashour and the Assistant Rector for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, as well as several deans of colleges and heads of administrative departments in the Rectory of the university.
Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf stressed that the University of Baghdad has a long history that must be preserved, and it has graduated from various countries and in prestigious positions in various joints of the Iraqi state, stressing the need for concerted efforts to upgrade the university and its position in the Arab world and globally.
For his part, the former Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, expressed his wishes to Dr. Bahaa to manage the helm of the University of Baghdad and direct it towards the best scientific performance worthy of its academic status and maintain the university’s curriculum for which it was known.
