The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language under the title (The Authenticity of Palestinian Thought in Language and Literature).

The Head of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Arts, Dr. Ikhlas Mohammed, said that “spreading the Arabic language is the responsibility of all of us because it carries lofty goals, and its axis and goal is to preserve the Arabic language, and spread it throughout the world.”

She indicated that “the celebration included reading poems singing the Day of Dhad, and a number of professors presented research papers on Palestinian literary and linguistic figures in solidarity with the Gaza cause, and honoring several professors such as the Dean of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Khamis Al-Tamimi, and the scientific assistant, retired Professor Dr. Majid Nawat, and honoring a number of other research professors at the College of Arts.”
