The Department of Archeology at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, revealed a new scientific cooperation between the University of Baghdad and the University of Heidelberg, Germany, which resulted in the issuance of a book related to the texts of school exercises used in the Assyrian era entitled (Texts of school exercises from the modern Assyrian era) from one of the German publishing houses.

Dr. Anmar Abdul Ilah Fadel, a teacher at the Department of Archeology at the University of Baghdad, said that “the book included a systematic study of teaching methods and texts adopted in the field of student education in the modern Assyrian era, noting that “the book is a complement to the series issued by the study and publication of literary texts from Assyria at the University of Heidelberg within the framework of the Ashur project, which extends for more than twenty years.” Dr. Anmar Abdulelah Fadel pointed out that “the book was issued in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Stefan Maul and Sarah Manastrska from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and bears the number 15 in the series and was issued in the number 162 in the series issued by the scientific studies of the German Oriental Foundation.”

It is noteworthy that the Department of Archeology at the College of Arts of the University of Baghdad is interested in providing archaeological research through excavations and publishing the results revealed by these excavations to introduce universities and international and local institutions concerned with the importance of Iraq’s heritage and civilization, and the extent of what it contributed to the development of humanity intellectually and culturally.
