The Abbasid Holy Shrine held the ninth annual Festival of the Al-Siddiqa Al-Tahera Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, in cooperation with the University of Baghdad, which was held at Al-Sayyid Al-Hakim Hall in the presence of the Administrative Assistant to the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Amir Faisal, the Head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Abbasid Holy Shrine, Mr. Aqeel Al-Yasiri, and the Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Shrine, Mr. Fayez Al-Shakarji, as well as religious and academic figures.
The festival was held on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyida Zahra, peace be upon her, where Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi participated in a religious lecture on Sayyida Al-Zahra, crowned by poetic verses delivered by the poet Muhammad Al-Fatimi, and the festival also included the establishment of several competitions among the participating students, in which prizes were distributed to a group of winning students, as well as honoring students wearing Islamic dress at the University of Baghdad. The festival concluded with a visit to the cultural stations of the youth of Al-Kafeel and the exhibition of books, photographs, manuscripts, and models.
