Baghdad University celebrated the University Art Day Festival at the Baghdad University stadium, the event was organized by the Student Activities Department, with the participation of 24 colleges from various formations of Baghdad University, in the presence of the Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Marwan Abdul-Hameed, and Dr. Ali Sadeq, the Director of the Student Activities Department, along with several faculty members and students.
More than 100 artistic works were showcased in the festival, including student creations from various branches of visual arts. The festival featured expressive paintings using watercolors and oils. The works spanned a range of mediums, including ceramics, Arabic calligraphy, handicrafts, sculpture, and paintings representing the history and civilization of Iraq. The festival also included a theatrical performance addressing the Palestinian issue, as well as folkloric presentations depicting the Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian civilizations of Iraq.
