The Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad held the curriculum for the third day of Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the participation of a distinguished group of professors, staff, and students of the institute. The theme of the third day was “Collaboration with the Entrepreneurial Business Sector (Scientific and Research Collaboration)” to achieve scientific, academic, and professional integration with professional institutions and the business sector in Iraq.

The curriculum for the third day addressed the concept of entrepreneurship in educational institutions, highlighting significant contributions to entities within Iraq. This includes providing scientific consultations to ministries, such as the Ministry of Oil, in training their staff on implementing international accounting and financial reporting standards in the oil sector from 2017 to 2023. Additionally, there were efforts in preparing economic feasibility studies for opening branches of Rafidain Bank in various areas of Baghdad, collaborating in evaluating research for the Financial and Accounting Center’s journal at the Ministry of Finance, and participating in the scientific committees of conferences held by these institutions.

The curriculum for the third day also covered the clarification of scientific collaboration between the Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad and the National Insurance Company and the Iraqi Insurance Company. The collaboration aimed to express the institute’s desire to establish a doctoral program in actuarial insurance. This project is considered a fundamental pillar for the development of their staff and to reach the ranks of advanced countries in the field of insurance. This is because the insurance sector has become a vital component of the global economies, rivaling any productive sector in the material returns acquired by these countries.
