The Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Graduate Studies at the University of Baghdad presented a workshop entitled (The Journey of Innovation and Leadership in Developing Our Cities… The City of Mosul and as a model), on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, in the presence of professors and staff of the center and graduate students.

The workshop aimed to provide a planning vision for local projects that adopted transformation and renewal in Iraqi cities with leadership and sustainable development, and the two teachers in the center and members of the planning advisory office in the center, Prof. Dr. Mohib Kamel Falih and Dr. Falah Mahdi Hadi, presented the projects implemented by the office, starting from the project of your tourist city and commissioned by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the project was presented with a video film documenting the achievements of the center’s ideas and visions in the city of your and turning it into a tourist archaeological city with an area of 1 square kilometer.

In the workshop, he also gave a detailed explanation of the second project adopted by the consulting office in the center, which is the design of the old city in Mosul, which has an approximate area of 3 square kilometers, as the project adopted the urban renewal of residential land uses and converted it into a river corniche with the reconstruction of old and damaged housing units. The workshop came out with a study that stressed the importance of marketing ideas and offering experiences to all institutions, to create a job opportunity and achieve leadership through scientific and practical integration.
