The Department of Chemistry, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science at the University of Baghdad, held a scientific lecture entitled “Ethics of Scientific Research.” The scientific lecture, which was held in conjunction with Entrepreneurship Week, aimed to identify the basic principles of scientific research ethics, enhance its concept and rooting among students and teachers, and contribute to raising awareness towards urgent research issues in the field of education, research ethics issues and scientific honesty, and the most important factors in the completion of scientific research in the correct and scientifically and practically integrated manner, most notably about credibility, and the need for research results to be transmitted honestly and honestly, as well as other factors that must be followed in writing scientific research. and deployed.

The lecture by Prof. Dr. Harith Jabbar Fahd explained the most important and prominent ethics of scientific research, scientific honesty, respect for the intellectual property of publishers and authors, honesty in the information recorded by the researcher in the research plan, maintaining confidentiality, not revealing the secrets of the respondents or their identities, and the importance of adhering to the ethics of scientific research as it raises its sobriety and increases the confidence of the local and global community in Iraqi researchers, which leads to making scientific research applicable in government institutions and helping to advance economically and environmentally, socially, as well as the researcher’s emphasis on the need to choose scientific research that works to solve the problems suffered by Iraqi society and to stay away from the repetition of global research to raise the level of the university and deliver it to the ranks of international universities.
