As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Field Crops Department at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a panel discussion titled “Quinoa Project… Promising Crop.” The discussion was led by Assist. Prof.Dr. Sudad Kazem Al-Taweel, in the presence of the College Dean, Prof.Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and the Head of the department, Prof.Dr. Ahmed Hameed Saudi, along with several faculty members and postgraduate students in the department.

The lecture aimed to introduce the quinoa crop and highlight the most cultivated varieties worldwide. It also focused on understanding the health benefits of quinoa seeds, which contain a high percentage of protein and essential amino acids crucial for human health. Additionally, the lecture emphasized that quinoa serves as a significant source of various minerals such as iron, zinc, copper, and vitamin A. Furthermore, it covered important aspects that individuals should be aware of regarding quinoa seeds to avoid potential allergic and non-allergic reactions for the well-being of humans.
