The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the University of Lorestan in Iran, organized an international seminar titled “The Palestinian Issue in the Consciousness of the Islamic Nation,” in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. This event was attended by the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr.Munir Al-Saadi, the Rector of the University of Lorestan, Dr.Ali Nazari, as well as professor from both universities along with religious and academic figures, and intellectuals who are concerned about the plight of the oppressed Gaza.
The symposium highlighted Israeli violations of international law and human rights, shedding light on the impact of Israeli occupation authorities’ actions on civilians and Palestinian society in Gaza strip. It emphasized the importance of mobilizing efforts and confronting aggression through the insights of intellectuals, expressing opinions that challenge the shaky foundations of the Zionist entity.
In turn, Al-Saadi condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza strip, labeling it a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and a war crime. Dr. Nazari expressed strong disapproval of Zionist crimes against the people of Gaza and emphasized the necessity of resisting Zionist occupation through both intellectual and scientific means.
