Under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, the Citizens Affairs Unit at the College of Fine Arts and in coordination with the Citizens Affairs Division at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled (The Mechanism of Work and Tasks of the Citizens Affairs Unit), in the presence of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Munaqid Ajil Hassan, the official of the Citizens Affairs Division and unit officials in the university formations.

The workshop included several axes, the most important of which is the legal axis of laws, instructions, and controls that are related to the citizen from the administrative and legal aspects, and the axis of citizens’ affairs, which stressed the identification of the tasks of the Citizens Affairs Division in terms of vision, mission, goals and methods of dealing with complaints submitted by citizens, as well as the art of etiquette and how to deal with the citizen.

The workshop also stressed the importance of the people and units of citizens’ affairs because of their great role in receiving proposals, inquiries, and opinions of citizens in order to address these problems at the university, if any, to serve the University of Baghdad and to develop the level of university performance, and also stressed not to use the division for personal targeting through malicious complaints and distance from tribal disputes since the university is an educational academic medium.

It is noteworthy that the Citizens Affairs Division aims to enhance communication between auditors, sections, divisions, and administrative units and overcome the difficulties they may face, as well as communication with other state institutions.
