The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad and Al-Kindy College of Medicine topped the Times World University Rankings for 2024 in the field of Clinical and Health Sciences among Iraqi universities. This milestone reflects the continuous efforts led by Pro.Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, the Rector of the University of Baghdad, and the thoughtful plan implemented by the college deans within the university to align with international ranking and accreditation standards.

The rankings revealed significant positions for Baghdad, Babylon, Kufa, Mosul, and Al-Mustansiriya universities in Medicine and Health Sciences despite global competition in these fields. It is noteworthy, that the Iraq secured the 37th position globally in the Times University Rankings for 2024, with Iraqi universities competing against 2024 universities from 108 countries based on teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry income indicators.
