The Women’s Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with a group of research centers at the University of Baghdad, organized a scientific symposium entitled (Safeguarding Breast Cancer Fears in Women) in the presence of a number of university employees and teachers.

The symposium aimed to secure the positive awareness of the female members of research centers to support their psychological and physical readiness to face the risk of breast cancer and encourage them to periodically examine. The symposium included the participation of several research papers, including (Enhancing Intellectual Security for the Sustainability of Women’s Health and Safety) by Dr. Rana Mawloud from the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad, as well as a research paper entitled (The Importance of Early Health Awareness to Protect Women from Breast Cancer) by Dr. Zainab Alaa from the Oncology Hospital in the City of Medicine. In conclusion, the symposium stressed the early detection and periodic examinations to ensure the safety from this disease.
