In the spirit of enhancing international collaboration and knowledge exchange, a new milestone is added to the accomplishments of our university during the Science Week between Iraq and the Iranian University, the Rector of the university of Baghdad, Prof.Dr.Munir Al-Saadi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof.Dr. Ali Nazari from Lorestan University, Iran, following a meeting between the two parties in which areas of mutual cooperation were identified.During the meeting, Al-Saadi, invited Lorestan University to visit and hold extensive meetings with the deans of colleges to implement this memorandum. Mentioned that the Baghdad University is striving to expand its international relations network and foster collaborative research partnerships with international universities, improving the academic reputation of the university.

Lorestan University is considered one of the top universities in Iran and ranked in the Times British ranking. It is renowned for its extensive research, particularly in the fields of engineering and sciences. Currently, the university offers courses in a diverse range of specializations, starting from economic and administrative sciences to veterinary medicine and many more. The university provides courses in both English and Persian. Lorestan University regularly publishes research papers, journals, and academic books through its well-known publishing house, known as “Lorestan University Press”.

Lorestan University’s campus is distinguished by its expansive grounds, including numerous libraries, research institutes, as well as activity and entertainment centers, there are also several active student associations on campus, primarily focusing on academic matters. In recent times, the university has begun to encourage the enrollment of international students and working towards establishing more academic partnerships with leading institutions in the region. The university has built collaborative relationships with prominent industries in Iran, which is aiming to provide qualified manpower and enhance research.
