The University of Baghdad received the shield of the Al Jazeera Media Network within the activities of the Forum of Journalism Colleges in the Arab World in the State of Qatar, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad and Prof. Dr. Wissam Fadel, a teacher in the Department of Radio and Television at the college.

The University was honored by Professor Iman Al-Ameri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute. In addition, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, honored Al Jazeera Media Institute with the college shield and discussed topics of developing professional media work and exchanging experiences. It was also agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad and Al Jazeera Media Institute to train students of the College of Media at the Institute.

It is noteworthy that the forum is sponsored by Qatar University, UNESCO of the United Nations, and Al Jazeera Media Network, as this participation comes within the direction of the University of Baghdad to open up to universities and international forums for scientific and academic communication to serve the educational process and our country Iraq.
