The University of Baghdad hosted a training and educational course on the application of the Bologna Process in the colleges of Engineering and Science, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dahed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Marwan Ashour, Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, and a number of deans and teachers from the colleges of Engineering and Science from different Iraqi universities.

The workshop was held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. A number of specialists lectured on the application of the Bologna Process from the ministry, in which they touched on the manual of procedures, quality, and the electronic system for the application of the Bologna process. Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahad, Undersecretary for Scientific Affairs, said in his speech that the Bologna process was adopted to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, and Abed Dahad stated that he hopes that the application of the Bologna process will lead to the graduation of students capable of their specializations, including Meets the needs of the market.

It is noteworthy that the Bologna process is one of the most important systems adopted by international universities and includes under its umbrella technical universities in 49 European countries. In addition, the process will enrich colleges and will be of great help to students especially in their endeavor to pursue their higher education, whether inside or outside the country, as well as it will facilitate the process of employing graduates according to their specializations.
