Prof. Dr. Hassan Mandil Hassan Al-Uqaili A teacher at the College of Education for Girls, Department of Arabic Language, published in the Journal of Planning and Language Policy issued by the King Salman International Academy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia research entitled: (Planning and Language Policies in Iraq).

The importance of this research focused on the fact that dealing with linguistic issues is no longer random, but through the study of their reality, predicting their future, and planning for it. In addition, Arab countries today will not live up to the planning and language policy to the required level, especially in Iraq. Since 2003, Iraq has been suffering from great challenges and difficult problems in many areas and negligence in the application of the Arabic Language Safety Law of 1973, which is the strongest law to preserve the Arabic language. The Iraqi Language Law of 2014 approved Arabic and Kurdish as the official languages of the state in all regions of Iraq as well as the Kurdistan region, where the Arabic language is threatened with extinction and the vast majority of Arabic teachers are not creative. These teachers do not have a clear impact, have no opportunities to reach decision-making positions, and are not fully aware of the development of sober linguistic policies and correct linguistic planning. Despite its great haste in Iraq and the large number of cultural and scientific institutions and governmental and non-governmental organizations. The media did pay enough attention to the Arabic language and did not realize the importance of policy-making and future planning, not to mention the importance of Arabic in the cultural, scientific, and social formation of the country.
