The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad organized a voluntary campaign to open a medical detachment to provide health services to visitors to the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the presence of the Assistant Rector for Administrative Affairs, Assist.Prof.Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir.

The detachment was launched from the University of Baghdad with the participation of a number of postgraduate and undergraduate students, and the medical detachment was set up at the end of the two-story bridge in the Dora area (Karbala highway) for two days, and from five to eleven o’clock at night.

Some medicines and medical supplies were provided, and visitors were educated by publishing 300 copies of awareness publications about some common diseases, and instructions on the optimal use and risks of excessive intake of some medications, in addition to measuring blood pressure and blood sugar levels for visitors and wound healing.

This campaign comes in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Baghdad to form voluntary committees and provide services to visitors during the Arbaeen visit.
