The University of Baghdad held a meeting for the Industrial Advisory Council, led by the Rector University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, Assistant Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Ashour, the Manager of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, along with several deans from the colleges of Medicine, Law, Engineering, and Education.

The meeting held even greater significance with the participation of distinguished representatives from influential entities such as the Communications and Media Commission, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Oil, Iraqi Engineers Union, and Zain Iraq.

During the significant gathering, they discussed the labor market and its major challenges, issues within state ministries. The spotlight shines on the ongoing updates and development of curricula to align with Iraq’s labor market.

Notably, the Industrial Advisory Council was adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as part of the Bologna process. This initiative is crafted to foster tangible collaborations between our university, state ministries, and the forging of resolute partnerships within the workforce domain. In deed a pivotal step in the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 17.
