With all pride of this incredible milestone, the University of Baghdad topped the Webometrics ranking for transparency among Iraqi universities for the year 2023, as reported by the Higher Council for Scientific Research in Spain, where the ranking was conducted on 5368 universities worldwide.
The total number of Iraqi universities that successfully cleared the transparency ranking from 46 to 56, during the past six months the number of citations for our university from 107,907 to 124,195, representing a remarkable 13% increase. Al-Mustansiriyah University and the University of Mosul, also got a second and third places, respectively.
It is noteworthy,the Webometrics ranking is a prestigious international assessment that relies on the number of citations for researchers in academic institutions, using data from Google Scholar profiles. This accomplishment reflects our dedication to excellence in research and academic endeavors for our university to serve the educational process in Iraq.
