A ceremony held by the Presidency of the University of Baghdad to raise the black banner of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) at the university, in cooperation with the Husseiniya shrine in presence of Assistant Rector for Administrative Affairs, Prof.Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and a number of esteemed deans of colleges.
This occasion is considered an opportunity to consolidate the values of justice, fairness and freedom that the Master of Martyrs defended as well as to remember the pain of Karbala and the consolation of our master Al-Hussain (peace be upon him).
At the end of event, the University of Baghdad has been honored to have the black banner “Labaik Ya Hussain” fluttering over its campus, praising the role of all supporters to revive this occasion.
