The University Health care Unit, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the University of Baghdad, organized an awareness campaign to detect the dangers of breast cancer and encourage the need for early examination to protect university students from the dangers of that disease.

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hassan, the director of the University Health care Center, said that “the campaign aims to reduce the spread of this disease through periodic examinations and educate women about its symptoms and ways to prevent it.”

“The University Health care Unit has started distributing more than (250) free cards to the University of Baghdad affiliates for the purpose of facilitating the process of conducting early detection in the specialized centers of the Ministry of Health,” added Dr. Fadla Saadoun.

The head of the Women’s Teaching Empowerment Unit, Sinai Abboud, also indicated that “the awareness campaign aims to promote awareness of breast cancer and the importance of conducting early examinations to limit the spread of the disease, noting that “the Women’s Empowerment Unit is working to encourage female employees to actively participate in the initiative to maintain the safety of university employees.”
