The Dean of the College of Science at the University of Baghdad, Assist.Prof.Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, chaired a meeting of the College Council to discuss the guide for adopting the Bologna path and its application for the next academic year in the college in the presence of members of the Council and heads of scientific committees in the departments of the college.
During the course of the meeting, the Dean of the College directed the completion of the procedures for updating the college’s curricula in order to prepare for the application of the Bologna track in the next academic year and to prepare the teaching staff that contribute to achieving performance indicators, interacting with knowledge variables and scientific disclosures, and enhancing the requirements of a refereed academic reputation.
The Council discussed the guide for the adoption of the Bologna path in the College of Science, which includes the type of academic system, student admission, registration, evaluation, examinations, adapting official working hours to raise the absorptive capacity and achieve the requirements of the path in accordance with the approved scientific foundations and mechanisms of its application and the extent of its compatibility with the global education system and the possibility of its application in Iraqi universities in supporting innovation and modernization programs that represent the essence of the vision of the Ministry of Education in developing educational systems.
