Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, the Rector of the University of Baghdad, met with the editorial board of the Iraqi Journal of Physics, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance, Assist.Prof.Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, and a number of the editorial board of the journal.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms of upgrading the work of the journal and the difficulties facing its owners and the possibility of entering the journal in international repositories such as Scopus and Clarivate, similar to the Journal of Medicine Al-Kindi, which recently entered the Scopus, and Al-Saadi praised the efforts made to improve academic work and the level of published research, which contribute to raising the international ranking of the Baghdad University.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Journal of Physics is issued by the Department of Physics at the College of Science, and was established in 2002 and issued annually four issues, relies on the OJS electronic system entirely to receive and evaluate research, and is a specialized scientific journal that works to publish accredited scientific researches in all fields of physics in all its applied and theoretical departments, which meet the conditions of distinguished research in terms of originality, briefing, investigation of the method of scientific research and its relevant steps.
