The college of languages has organized in supervision of the department of scientific affairs at the presidency of the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior a symposium on the psychological processes to counter extremism. The symposium aimed to inform students about the risks of using smart devices, practical strategies for reducing these risks and maintaining the security of personal social media profiles. As well as seeking to create  kind of two-way contact between the student and security services rather than criticizing our own mistakes ,As we are not perfect or flawless, but we must use good judgment to reduce losses.

At the end, the symposium has recommended to avoid trusting strangers, not giving up and carrying out the blackmailer’s demands to resort to parents and security services when extortion occurs to prevent problem escalation. Also encouraging students to teach their families and neighborhoods, it’s important to report about any case of extortion, drug possession, use or trafficking on or off campus to appropriate authorities at the aforementioned agency by contact the free hotline (144).
