The Common Diseases Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine has organized a scientific symposium on (The most important common parasitic diseases that affect humans and animals), in the presence of a number of the college’s faculty members in addition to professors and workers from specialized laboratories related to the Common Diseases Unit as well as a number of postgraduate students.

The symposium included a brief overview of parasitic common diseases and the most exposed community groups, dealing with some diseases in detail by talking about methods of prevention, diagnosis, vaccination and methods of controlling them. At the conclusion of this event, the lecturers stressed on the importance of following health and preventive measures to prevent infection with these parasites, as well as conducting the necessary surveys to manufacture vaccines for such diseases.
