Prof. Ghada al-Salaq, a lecturer from the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad has participated in the International Conference of the European Architectural History Network (EAHN), with a research paper entitled (Heritage in Danger), which was held at Koya University in Erbil and sponsored by Columbia University through the Mesopotamian Antiquities and Heritage Documentation Project.

At the opening of the conference, she has presented a paper dealing with the types of tangible and intangible heritage as well as the natural heritage in Iraq, which included an analysis of the most important dangers facing it, and then a conclusion and a proposal for the idea of employing intangible heritage to revive people’s interaction in this regard. Prof. Rasim Badran then presented a study that included a summary of his designing thought and the nature of his dealings with the place and human beings, also the director of the Heritage Conservation Center in Iraq has given a presentation on the nature of workflow at the center. A large number of researchers and workers in the field of antiquities and heritage conservation from Germany, Turkey, Portugal and the Czechs have participated in the proceedings of this conference, along with Iraqi researchers from multiple Iraqi universities, whose number reached more than 35 local and international scholars.
