Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, the rector of the University of Baghdad, has chaired the council of the college of engineering to discuss a number of administrative and scientific matters, in the presence of the director of the office of the rector, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad al-Ansari, and the director of the department of quality assurance and university performance, Assist. Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan. The meeting dealt with an introduction of directives for submitting scientific departments to academic accreditation standards and developing the educational process and scientific research in the country to enter in international rankings. The rector of the University of Baghdad also met the members of the editorial boards of scientific journals at the college to draw a road map for the development of workflow towards the entry of the college’s scientific journals in international repositories.
