The Quality Assurance Division at the College of Islamic Sciences of the University of Baghdad has organized a workshop on the standards of national programmatic accreditation for the colleges of Islamic sciences in the country and the initiation of its application to the committees for programmatic accreditation, with the aim to develop the mechanism of work of the committees to implement an accreditation standards manual for the colleges of Islamic sciences in Iraq as a guideline to prepare data required for each standard and to introduce the importance of accreditation to academic institutions and for spreading the culture of accreditation and clarify the main requirements for obtaining academic and institutional accreditation of the colleges of Islamic sciences.

The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Neima Dahsh Farhan, the dean of the college, the programmer Suhad Muhie Hilal, the director of the Quality Assurance Division and the engineer Muntaha Kazim Musa the official of website unit. The lecturers recommended the formation of committees in each scientific department for formulating visions and objectives in line with the indicators specified in the guideline for program accreditation, the need for indexing library collections, coordination work with the Quality Assurance Division regarding the development of opinion questionnaires form for beneficiaries to test their satisfaction with the learning services provided by the central library in addition to concluding an agreement with the College of Imam Al-Kadhim (PBUH) and other faculties of Islamic sciences regarding cooperation with their libraries, borrowing and sharing books and resources.
