The Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science has lately organized a seminar entitled “Some applications of topology across the basic group” delivered by the Assist. Prof. Dr. Afraa Radhi Sadiq in the presence of a number of students, researchers and those concerned with the specialization of pure mathematics.

The aim of the seminar is to inform those interested in this topic, students and researchers on a range of latest applications, with a presentation of some reinforcement examples, including an example presented for the first time that is illustrating the algebraic topology that studies the intrinsic qualitative aspects of spatial objects. The lecturer defined the term of topology, which is one of the important topics in mathematics, especially pure and common mathematics, since pure mathematics lacks application in biology, medicine, engineering, physics and zoology.
