The Department of Public Relations at the College of Media of the University of Baghdad has organized a scientific workshop entitled (Electronic Research Methods in Media and Communication Research) delivered by the visiting Prof. Dr. Ahmed al-Rawi from the College of Media, Communication and Arts at Simon Fraser University in Canada, in the presence of a number of professors, employees and students. The workshop aimed to introduce the ideal models of major research approaches, categories, methods and tools, as well as talks about the rates of public use of them and the consequent impact results and a change in audience perceptions. Dr. Ahmed al-Rawi also stressed the need to recognize the changes in the new technical environment of communication, and to expand the methodological scope to rely on more than one approach to reach scientific truth and combine quantitative and qualitative research methods.
